Facilitating outdoor learning in any weather.
Perched at the edge of the Peregrine Marsh, this 1,000 sq. ft. building provides the perfect location for birdwatching. Large sliding barn doors allow the building to be enclosed in wet weather, or fully opened up for views in all directions. Additional sliding viewing windows within the doors provide learning opportunities for kids and adults alike. A cantilevered balcony with metal grating allows visitors to stand out over the marsh with visibility into the water below. The interior of the space features large exposed wood trusses, a long L-shaped bench, and skylights for daylighting the space.
