Michael W. Junge, AIA, NCARB
Principal
Mike joined the firm in 2000 after spending several years working for a national retailer in their architecture and construction departments. He is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Architecture and Master’s Degree in Business. He became licensed in 2003, an associate partner in 2007, and managing principal in 2017. Mike transplanted to Salem with his wife, Holly, in 1996. They have two great sons and one very friendly goldendoodle, Porter. Mike and his family enjoy traveling the world and experiencing different cultures.
Angela M. Flores, AIA, NCARB
Principal
Angela has been with the firm since 2009, becoming Associate Principal in 2018. She is a University of Oregon alum, born and raised here in Salem. Angela is exceptionally client-oriented and very experienced in a wide range of projects from concept to completion. She proudly serves her community and has completed numerous projects for Salem-Keizer Public Schools, Chemeketa Community College, and Marion County. Angela has a soft spot for senior pets and loves sports, learning new languages, and traveling. Her goal is to visit every national park in the U.S.!
Nicholas L. Wallace, AIA, NCARB
Principal
Nick was born and raised in Idaho, but fell in love with Oregon while attending the University of Oregon. Nick joined the firm in 2013, was licensed in 2017, and became an Associate Principal in 2020. Nick is exceptional at integrating the client’s desires into every project, while paying close attention to detail, constructability, and code compliance. Our automotive expert, Nick has worked on over 20 auto dealership projects in six states. Some of his most notable projects with the firm include Porsche Seattle North, Capitol Subaru, St. Innocent Winery, and the Open Dental Software office buildings. When he’s not working, he’s often coaching youth sports, enjoying his time at home or traveling with his wife, two sons, and dog, Waffles.
Peter Kaupert, Assoc AIA, CSI
Designer
Peter has been with the firm since 2014. He was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California and received a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2005. After working in a local architecture firm for a few years, he moved to Oregon and enrolled in the University of Oregon in 2011, specializing in Sustainable Business Practices and graduating with an MBA in 2013. Peter enjoys the variety of people he meets and the projects in which he participates with the firm. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
James Morgan
CAD Technician
James Morgan has over 9 years of drafting experience and over 3 years of architectural drafting experience and has been involved in all phases of project development. He has worked on both new construction and renovation for a wide range of project types including office, educational, religious, industrial, health care, and restaurants. James enjoys reading books and playing computer games in his spare time.
MaKayla Page, Assoc IIDA
Interior Designer
MaKayla joined the firm in 2023 as an Interior Designer. She was born and raised in La Grande, a small town in eastern Oregon. MaKayla became a first-generation college graduate in 2022, receiving BS degrees in Interior Design and Design & Innovation Management from Oregon State University. She has been active with the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and plans to continue her involvement. MaKayla has an expertise in furniture and how to maximize its benefits for each unique space, with a passion for inclusive and biophilic design. She is a self-identified plant lady who dreams of her future sunroom and greenhouse, with two kitty children, Hazel and Wicket. In her spare time, she loves crafting, painting, drawing, or DIYing.
Maggie Cortez, Assoc AIA
Designer
Maggie joined our team in 2024 and has quickly put her skills to use. She grew up in Silverton, OR, a small town just east of Salem, and attended the University of Oregon where she worked for the UO Housing Capital Construction team and graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Business Administration. Maggie brings a positive attitude to each project she works on and is always seeking ways to enhance each one. She enjoys sketching and going on walks through nature in her free time.
Trixie Kennedy
Business Administration Manager
Joining our team in 2024, Trixie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University. Trixie brings a wealth of HR management and administration experience to her role, as well as a genuine upbeat attitude. After living all her adult life in San Francisco and San Diego, she returned to Oregon where she grew up. In her spare time, Trixie enjoys animals, creating whimsical art utilizing a wide variety of mediums, upcycling furniture, enjoying all types of music, playing games, cooking, gardening, listening to podcasts, riding her E-bike, and spending time with family and friends.
Mary B. Elliot
Administrative Assistant
Mary (Marie) emigrated to Oregon in June 2002 from the Republic of South Africa, though not her country of origin, which is the Netherlands. That same year, she received her green card in August and joined the firm as the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant in September. She enjoys playing board games with her children and grandchildren. Other hobbies are hiking, snowshoeing, walking, swimming, reading, word games, a little gardening, and traveling the world while learning about different cultures. She also loves music and dancing.
Kiwi
CFO (Chief Fun Officer)
Kiwi has been with the firm since 2023. Her spunky personality brings fun and energy to the office, but she takes her job of greeting coworkers and announcing visitors seriously. A skilled athlete, her talents include rope-toy tugging, rolling over for tummy rubs, jumping on Porter’s head, and running away from Mike. In her free time, Kiwi enjoys wrestling her cat brother, chasing squirrels, and practicing for her spot on the Olympic high jump team.
Porter
CSO (Chief Squirrel-veillance Officer)
Porter has been with the firm since 2021. His duties include protecting the office from squirrels and ensuring all squeaky toys are in good operating order. He has the most effective puppy-dog eyes in town and isn’t afraid to use them to get pets or treats. While he’ll happily accept attention from anyone in the office, Kiwi is his workplace BFF. In his free time, Porter enjoys outdoor activities (rain or shine), playing with his neighborhood pals, and curling up in quiet corners with a tasty bully stick.
